Namaste Yoga Studio, Alamogordo's premier school of hatha yoga, was opened by Alex Carilli in 1998. NYS expanded its mission to Cloudcroft in 2005 with a studio & lifestyle shop called Instant Karma (IK is temporarily closed for renovations). At NYS and IK classes are taught in the tradition of Yogacharya B.K.S. Iyengar and his family.
No experience required. For locals and visitors alike, drop-ins are welcome. The quality of the classes is suprising to many. Alex has 20 years of practice and 12 years of teaching experience. She is an Iyengar Certified instructor who considers yoga and yogic philosophy her roadmap for life.
